The first thing I thought when I heard this question was, “Well, the post-apocalypse has begun—so what would you wear while constantly fleeing from pissed off zombie hordes?”

Living in a city where the average daytime temperature is 30°C with 70% humidity, something like Han Solo’s or Indiana Jones’ outfit would be incredibly practical in this stifling heat. With a look somewhere between space cowboy and safari adventurer hunting down sadistic Nazis—think wide-legged pants, cargo shorts, vests full of pockets, army boots, a cap, and a backpack stuffed with survival gear—I think I could manage life in this pre-apocalypse we’re already in.

It’s highly unlikely we’ll end up in a world like The Walking Dead or The Last of Us, the way Hollywood likes to sell it. Still, it would be amazing to wear that outfit to the office every day and skip the torture of formal wear, which feels entirely out of place in our sweltering climate.
