Do you ever see wild animals?

I usually listen to my father. He tells stories about how, near the city, he and his father (my grandfather) used to go hunting. In the area where I live, there were once mangroves and humid forests. It was common to see deer roaming on the outskirts of the city. Many times opossums were seen in parks and plazas. Sadly, they were chased and exterminated. Today, none of that remains. Urban development and the city’s growth mean that wild animals are now only seen in zoos. Alternatively, you might spot them during a day of hiking in protected areas. You could also take a tourist trip in small boats to see dolphins or humpback whales.

The exception is the famous iguanas, which are seen with relative frequency. In fact, in my city we even have a park dedicated solely to them.
