Describe a family member.
My granny is an incredibly strong woman. She was born in 1925 and is now 100 years old. She enjoys good food, conversation, and watching soccer. She has 3 children, 9 grandchildren, and more than twenty great-grandchildren. Her life is filled with stories you’d only find in the historical archives of newspapers. Her body is very weak now, but her mind remains as sharp as it was when she was 20. She walks with difficulty. She can no longer care for herself. She gets sick more often. Despite the severity of her illnesses, she recovers within days. Not even COVID could take her down. She says heaven doesn’t want her yet. I tell her that here on Earth, she’s loved even more—and that’s why it’s not her time. I know one day will be her last. Until that day comes, I celebrate the blessing of having her in our family.
