I love the homeland where I was born. I love my land, my people, and my culture. If believing that I live in the best country in the world makes me a patriot, then I am one, 100%. Sadly, as in many countries around the world, the lack of culture among most of the population and the overwhelming corruption of its politicians sometimes make us lose faith in our people and our race. But we must understand that a homeland is built from within each family, from the most basic awareness of every human being, and from what we teach our children and the generations to come.

For me, being a patriot means stopping thinking first about my individual well-being and starting to think about the well-being of my neighborhood, my city, my state, my country and the world itself. The day we understand that by improving the lives of my neighbors, I also improve my own, we will have a better homeland and a better place to live.
