If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?
Ha! Honestly, it was the first thing that came to mind when I read this question. Not that I see myself as some British super‑agent with a license to kill. Of course not. But I’ve always been fascinated by the uniqueness of this character created by Ian Fleming. An orphan with a complicated childhood, trained from a very young age in military tactics—solitary, adventurous, and elegant. A taste for luxury cars, caviar, and tailored suits. His only weapons are his training, his small pistol, and his watch. Oh, and his super cool Aston Martin. Successful in his profession but a disaster in his love life, despite his irresistible pull on the opposite sex. His boss and coworkers hate him, yet deep down they appreciate him—one of them more than she should.
James Bond is the quintessential masculine archetype and the enduring image of the English gentleman across generations. A character that has fascinated for over 60 years.
I think tonight I’ll make myself a vodka martini at home—shaken, not stirred.
