The longest trip I’ve ever taken was from my hometown, Guayaquil, all the way to Jerusalem on a work assignment some years ago. The journey lasted 24 hours with the following stops: Quito, Madrid (where I had to wait several hours for my next connection), Tel Aviv, and finally Jerusalem. The jet lag was truly overwhelming. In my biological clock it was midnight, but in Israel I already had to be having breakfast at 8 AM.
