Are there things you try to practice daily to live a more sustainable lifestyle?
Absolutely. Since my day begins at 5AM, my routine revolves around strengthening my body, mind, and emotions, all while striving for constant personal and professional growth.
First comes meditation, prayer, and gratitude—a sacred connection with God for the gift of a new dawn. I dedicate 30 minutes each morning before 6AM, when the city is still hushed. That’s the time that works for me.
Next, before the day truly breaks, I write. I keep a journal to capture the day’s most important thoughts, pending tasks, and outline my priorities. Early morning is when my mind feels sharpest, and ideas flow freely.
Then it’s time to transition into the workday. I prepare a protein-rich breakfast—paired with an absurd amount of fruit—commute to the office, and dive into the dozens of tasks waiting to be tackled. I seize the morning hours to their fullest since they’re my most productive. I try to reserve the afternoon for lighter tasks or planning for the next day. My goal is always to wrap up by 5PM—because let’s face it, no one is truly productive beyond eight hours.
Then comes the fun part: movement. I dedicate 45 minutes daily to focused weight training. At my age, I have to prioritize metabolism—so it’s strength training over cardio. My routine is centered on muscle mass: heavier weights, fewer reps.
Later, once I’m home, I prepare dinner—protein, of course, and yes, another generous helping of raw vegetables.
The evenings are for learning. I devote an hour each night to mastering a new technique or staying ahead of industry trends. My profession evolves constantly, and there’s always something new to explore. It’s also a great time to practice another language.
And finally—read, read, and read. I’m always immersed in a captivating story. The moment I finish one book, I’m already diving into the next. That’s my nighttime ritual before sleep.
By 9PM, I can barely keep my eyes open.
