Writing is a privilege reserved for those who live in freedom.

We all have a story to tell, ideas to share, or emotions yearning to be released. Writing sets us apart as a species because it allows us to leave behind a legacy that endures through time.

Writing gives me the feeling of freedom. It allows me to express what’s on my mind. I can share what’s in my heart in a way that is both free and responsible. I write because I can and because I choose to; nothing compels me to do so. Like a musician composing melodies, writing makes us creators of new worlds. Like a painter bringing visions to life on canvas, it makes us messengers of truth. I write because I want to share what I know. I write for myself; my opinions are mine alone, and I take full responsibility for them. If what I write touches someone in a positive way, then my task is fulfilled. I do not seek to harm with my words. If I have ever hurt someone, it was never with ill intent.

We are the owners of what we say—and masters of what we choose to keep silent.
