Come up with a crazy business idea.
Steve Wozniak never imagined that his wild ideas would one day become a global mega corporation. Mark Zuckerberg probably didn’t imagine it either. They started by building a miniature computer in a garage or creating a portal for college friends to interact. Now, these ideas have astronomical profits. Most crazy ideas never make it past a homemade prototype. Yet many of humanity’s greatest inventions began exactly that way: as a crazy idea.
I am inspired by visionary minds like theirs. I’ve been toying with an idea of my own. It’s an app that helps users manage their emotions. Imagine that, through a bio-metric device like a smartwatch or a body sensor, this mechanism will detect physiological patterns. These patterns reveal when someone loses control of their decisions. This happens due to overwhelming joy, sadness, anger, fear, or surprise. The app will alert the user when they’re entering dangerous territory. It also offers recommendations to help them regain control of the moment.
How many bad decisions in the world can be avoided if we had technology like this?
An emotion‑control app—that’s my crazy business idea.
