In my 50 years of life, there have been many technological advances that have radically changed people’s lives. From the PC, the Internet, and cell phones, I believe the most important invention is the development of Artificial Intelligence.

Like every major technological breakthrough, AI is transforming the way most people work and live. AI supports a wide range of needs. It serves as children’s assistants and offers specialized tutorials for professionals. It also provides companionship and guidance for the elderly. AI is helping people reach their personal goals more quickly. Robots are becoming increasingly precise, faster, and accessible to more people.

Likewise, as with every technological advance since the discovery of fire, AI can be used for good or for ill. Its use depends on human nature, which is weak and corruptible. Each person’s moral strength determines how it is used.
