I don’t know if George Orwell can truly be classified as a philosopher. He envisioned a utopian society in which an advanced technological surveillance tool is placed at the service of the human stupidity governing the central power. I would love to speak with him for a few minutes and ask what he thinks of modern AI, and whether it could become a new world order capable of supervising and controlling even our thoughts.
