The future does not exist. Everything that happens is random — opportunities or threats that appear along the way. We have control over some of them, and our decisions determine how we will face them. In other cases, we have no control over what happens, but we do have control over the attitude we take toward those threats.

It is also true that our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual preparation makes us ready to face valuable opportunities as they arise. The future reveals itself to us step by step, day by day, and much of that future is decided by us today, here and now. What we give today, we will receive with interest tomorrow.
