Who is the fictional character you relate to the most?
My favorite character—and perhaps the one I identify with the most—is the drifter played by Clint Eastwood in Sergio Leone’s spaghetti westerns. The character was originally created by Akira Kurosawa in the film Yojimbo, where the drifter is a solitary ronin. In the Italian western version, the drifter becomes a bounty hunter. The character has been so iconic that it has inspired many variations, such as David Carradine in Kung Fu or the famous Mandalorian in the Star Wars saga.
He is my favorite character because of the peace he finds in solitude. At the same time, he is always on the move, helping wherever he can thanks to his many skills. I identify with that way of being—solitary, rebellious, free, and compassionate.
