Don’t make decisions with your emotions; decide with your mind and your intuition.

It isn’t good to think too much about the past—the past doesn’t exist. It’s made of lessons we learned, not a sentence that defines who we are now. Even so, many mistakes from the past could have been avoided if I hadn’t allowed my emotions to betray me. The worst mistakes are made when decisions come from emotion or impulse. If I could go back in time and send a message to myself, this would be my advice:

“The man who controls his tongue, his desire, and his emotions controls the world.”
