What’s a cultural tradition from your country that you love?
In my country, where about 70% of the population is mostly Catholic, most traditions come from the way people live their religious celebrations. I think the cultural tradition I enjoy the most is Christmas. It’s the time of year when people try to set aside their differences and seek reconciliation and forgiveness. It’s also a time for family unity. A family may go an entire year without seeing each other, but at Christmas everyone makes a great effort to come together, and this season truly represents family togetherness.
In my country, family gatherings are planned alongside the New Year’s celebration, so the last days of December are filled with family reunions, good food, sweets, gifts, and celebration.
