There are so many beautiful places in the world—including places within our own countries—that it seems unnecessary to think about vacationing in some fictional world. I don’t see myself going on holiday to King’s Landing from Game of Thrones, the planet Tatooine from Star Wars, Hogwarts from Harry Potter, or the Hobbits’ village in Tolkien’s world. Many of these fictional places even have their own tourist attractions somewhere in the real world, like Dracula’s castle and village in Romania. When we eventually grow tired of visiting the beautiful places of our world, then we could consider visiting an imaginary one.
