The best advice for traveling on a tight budget is to avoid visiting a country where the cost of living is much higher than in our own. It’s unrealistic to think you can travel on a limited budget to New York, London, or Paris. Visiting these cities is genuinely expensive. Even if you manage to find affordable options for lodging, food, and transportation, one day in these places can cost what we normally spend home in a couple of weeks.

If your budget is tight, there are excellent tourist destinations in Central or Eastern Europe, Central America, and the Caribbean. There are also tourist cruises with very good promotions if you know how to look for them.

And finally, if the budget is still limited, the best option will always be to explore our own countries. There are beautiful places we still haven’t discovered just a few hours away.
