I remember watching Starship Troopers (1997) nearly thirty years ago and being completely blown away by its groundbreaking special effects. Seeing it on the big screen was an unforgettable experience. The director’s storytelling was captivating, and the chemistry among the characters carried the audience through two hours of nonstop action.

It is a fun and original film in which humanity wages a brutal interstellar war against relentless armies of giant, deadly insects. Despite its creativity, excitement, and impressive visual effects, the movie was not well received when it was first released.

Looking back, Starship Troopers remains one of the most underrated films that comes to mind and, in my opinion, one of the most overlooked science fiction movies of its era.
