In their 50s, my parents were still finishing up my younger sister’s studies and buying their second house, which is the one they live in today. Even though they still had a few years left before retirement, they saw it getting closer, and their planning became more serious. I believe the decisions they made at that age were wise and have shaped the way I’m handling things now.
