Working in IT has some advantages. One of them is that, in a well‑configured and secure environment, I can do most of my work from the comfort of my home, at any time. Internet connections are becoming more accessible, reliable, and secure. Ironically, in some places it’s cheaper to get an Internet subscription than clean drinking water. With services like Starlink, I can stay connected almost anywhere in the world.For the same salary, I would stop living in the city and move to a rural mountain area with cold weather. I would do the same work I love doing — working in IT, security, and cloud.
