No thanks, no pets for me.

If I ever have to choose the company of another non-human living being in my home, I’d rather have the silence and peace that come from plants and a well-tended garden.

There are few people who truly understand the immense responsibility and time it takes to care for a pet. Many still treat them like amusing toys that wander around the house—expecting everyone else in the household to simply put up with them.

I have nothing against pets—as long as everything they do, including their unpleasant noises and smells, stays within their owners’ homes.
